Terms of use

The rules that apply when you use heatpumpsaver.co.uk. Please read this alongside our privacy policy and how we make money page.

Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. Who this is with, and acceptance

heatpumpsaver.co.uk (the "site") is operated by Heat Pump Saver Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site — including reading its guides, using its calculators, or submitting an enquiry form — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is

heatpumpsaver.co.uk is an information and installer-matching service. We publish guidance on heat pumps and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), provide calculators and an eligibility checker, and help homeowners find MCS-certified installers.

We are not an installer. We do not survey properties, design heating systems, supply or install heat pumps, apply for grants on your behalf, or carry out any building or heating work of any kind. Any installation work is carried out entirely by the independent MCS-certified installer you choose to instruct, not by us.

3. Calculators, eligibility checks and other tools

The cost calculator, BUS eligibility checker, and any similar tool on this site produce indicative estimates only, based on the information you enter and general published figures (such as DESNZ, Ofgem and Energy Saving Trust data). They are not:

Actual costs, savings, and grant eligibility depend on your specific property and circumstances, and are ultimately confirmed only by DESNZ, Ofgem, or the installer carrying out the work — not by this site.

4. No financial advice

Nothing on this site constitutes regulated financial advice. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing we publish should be treated as a personal recommendation to enter into any particular financial arrangement (including any loan, credit agreement, or energy tariff). If you need advice tailored to your financial circumstances, speak to a qualified, regulated adviser.

5. Installer matching and contracts for work

Where we introduce you to one or more MCS-certified installers, or you request installer recommendations through our forms, that introduction is the extent of our involvement.

6. Accuracy of content

We try hard to keep guidance accurate and current — see our editorial policy for how content is sourced and reviewed. However, grant schemes, prices, and energy tariffs change, and we cannot guarantee that every page reflects the very latest position at the moment you read it. Where a figure or rule matters to a decision you are about to make, verify it against the primary source we cite, or with your installer, before relying on it.

7. Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law:

8. Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics, and calculators on this site belong to Heat Pump Saver Ltd or our licensors, unless stated otherwise. You may view, print, and share individual pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, scrape, or reuse our content or tools at scale, or represent it as your own, without our written permission.

9. Third-party links

This site links to third-party websites, including government sites (such as DESNZ, Ofgem, and MCS) and installer websites. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

10. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site at any time, and we may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them or to your use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
